Man Delivering NewsletterWe thought this article may interest many of our clients who use our newsletter services, Newsletters are great but they do have a habit of been picked up by spam filters. We have put together a list of do's and don'ts to keep your newsletter out of spam and in the inbox.

As you create an email message, then send it and analyze delivery results, remember to stay focused on the following primary concerns.

When a new visitor comes to your website for the first time an initial impression will be formed pretty quickly. A study in 2000 showed on average a user makes up their mind in less than 3 seconds. Internet users today are more sophisticated than back then and make more relaxed decisions about whether or not to stay on a site and view its content.  However a good first impression will drastically increase the chances of that visitor returning again, and a bad first impression will be difficult to overcome.

404 Error Pages

404 error pages, we all know what they are, right? I will refresh your memory, a 404 error occurs when your server is reached by a user, but the page the user is looking for can not be found. This may happen for a variety of reasons:

1. A typo by the user, by simply missing the "L" in "HTML" will result in the 404 error,
2. An external link to a moved/deleted webpage,
3. An internal link to a moved/deleted webpage.

Images on your website

PhotographerThey say a picture says a thousand words, and this is never more true than when you're marketing your business. The bottom line is that if your website looks impressive, your company looks impressive. A visitor to your website will take a matter of seconds to make a judgment regarding the credibility of your company, and the quality and trustworthiness of your brand. To underestimate the importance of incorporating quality photographs into your website is to miss a significant opportunity to market your business effectively.

5 Tips for a friendly ecommerce site

If you are selling products online then your web site must attract potential customers to your product, or range of products, and then make it easy for them to buy from you. However, building a web site to achieve these two objectives is not as easy as you might think and many businesses succeed in attracting customers to their offer but then fail to capture a sale because they make things too difficult.

How Many Web Pages Do I Need

As more pages mean more expense, it makes sense to look at how the pages of your website will impact on the effectiveness of the site. There are a few unwritten rules regarding what content should be included and whether it should have it's own page. I'll try to give a view of which pages are essential and why.

Generally, a website should be at least 5 pages. This is because there's certain information we as web users have come to expect.
